Great place close to Monterey

Hilltop Haven was very comfortable with plenty of room for three of us. We found it easy to get to all the Monterey area locations we wanted to visit, with a quiet, clean and comfortable home base.

Charming and clean

Such a charming, comfortable place to stay! And so clean! Home is well equipped, with all of the kitchen utensils/dishes we needed as well as soaps, towels, paper towels. Gas bbq grill, lawn chairs, coolers, ice packs, beach towels, are all available to use. Lots... more of pleasant outdoor space. Steep driveway, but we parked on it with no problem. Clean, comfy, & convenient

The unit was very clean and extremely well stocked. Beds and pillows were super comfortable! We caught up on our rest and enjoyed our stay. It was a good location to get to all the places we wanted to visit in the Monterey/Carmel area.

Had a great stay, the owner thought of everything I was impressed how well equipped the house was everyone enjoyed their stay. FYI the upstairs shower was draining. Slowly, I use a plunger, and that seemed to work just letting you know.. Best regards Patrick

Beautiful Seaside Getaway

My family and I stayed here for a family wedding in Monterrey. The location was perfect - beautiful seaside views and in close proximity to everywhere we needed to go. Quiet place to relax!

Perfect respite!

My mother and my children and I enjoyed three days in Seaside and the Monterey Peninsula and were able to stay in this perfect vacation home. Everything was very clean and well appointed. Property was very clean. Location was convenient to airport, golf courses, restaurants, etc. Furnishings were comfortable, wifi and tv were excellent. Driveway is extremely steep, required one person to stand by curb to watch for cross traffic. Suggest owner may want to provide garage opener... more to clients so no need to exit vehicle to close door.' Kitchen could use a few supplies like spices, coffee filters, etc. Laundry facilities were newer, premium machines. A solid property with no issues of substance. less

Great place!

“Hilltop Haven” was a well appointed and comfortable place for us to stay. Two couples and two little ones and it was spacious and separated enough where we had our own space when we needed it and were able to spend time together as well.... more Beds were comfortable and kitchen had almost everything (except any spices) that you would need. Close to major points of interest. We ended up having to stay the last day and a half inside the rental unfortunately as the tragic wildfires made it unsafe for us to go out. I would definitely stay there again though if we make a return visit. Thanks! less

The only complaint I would have is that the mattresses on the trundle bed may be fine for children, but not for an adult. Great house for a weekend trip. 4 adults in town for the INDYCAR weekend. Close to the race track and easy access. House was everything that was promised. Easy entry and a plenty of parking. Would rent this house again. We had a great weekend.

Girls trips - Summer of 65 Celebration

Perfect location to explore the area, Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur. House has great spaces outside to drink wine and visit and upstairs balcony has great sunset viewing. Would book again, super cute place, clean and very well appointed.

Great home but...

This house is beautiful and super comfortable and inviting. Well appointed. Spacious. Clean. Quiet and in a nice area. 10 minutes to lots of activities. Would recommend. However, I personally would not rent it again because of the key issue. They office to pick up... more and drop off the keys is 16 minutes away! Of course it was opposite direction of where we were arriving from and where we were going at check out. So it added an hour to our drive (4x15 minutes). When I read reviews from a year ago someone was complaining about that too and they had mentioned that the property manager was currently working on a lock box, a year later still not done. We are in the 21st century how hard it is to either install a lock box (5 minutes) or change the lock to a key-less entry with a keypad. We have been renting homes all over the world for 17 years now and never had to drive to pick up a key. Someone either met us at the home or a key was left for us to self check-in. This place was not cheap! I feel bad for the owner because it is a very nice home! less

GREAT HOME IN SEASIDE

The Seaside home was wonderful! Our family of 4 Adults and one teen spent the week in the home during our visit to the Monterey/Carmel area. The home was exceptionally decorated, very clean, and had everything we could have asked in a rental for vacation.... more While the town of Seaside itself is a bit older and not as modern as some of the neighboring communities, the home was fantastic, modern and nicest on the street. The location was minutes from Monterey Aquarium/Wharf and Del Monte Beach area, which was awesome! Would highly recommend this home! less

My three sisters and I meet annually all over the United States. This year we picked Monterey and Carmel and this Airbnb was just perfect. Top of the Hill

Our home away from home had everything we could have possibly needed as well as being aesthetically pleasing! The home is tastefully decorated. The bath towels were plentiful, soft, plush, luxurious. The kitchen had many gadgets to make life easier as well as spices, oils,... more paper towels and more. We loved being able to enter via the garage so we could leave our gear (hikers) there versus tracking things into the house (in the garage are beach chairs and other stuff as well if one needed). The views of the sunset each night were a treat from both decks and even the kitchen window. The beds were comfortable, lots of extra blankets and pillows. Truly a home with many added touches like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, huge closet space, snack bars and oatmeal, a homeowner's sign-in book to share our experience with them as well. We were convenient to the freeway and fortunately we could use a few back roads to avoid some of the commuter traffic, a nice convenience. In short, luxurious, convenient, relaxing and pleasurable. less

Perfect rental for our Aquarium trip

This was a great fit for my family of 4 (2 adults, 1 kid and 1 baby). The kids each had their own room downstairs and the master is upstairs, which was great after the kids went to bed. There was plenty of room in... more a downstairs bedroom for us to set up our portable crib. The beds were all very comfortable (coming from Tempurpedic owners!) and the place was well equipped with all the kitchen and bathroom items needed. We loved the recliner couches, so much so that my husband is looking into getting us one at home! We were provided a detailed and very helpful email with directions and instructions, so check in/out was a no-brainer. This gem is only a few miles from the Aquarium and we plan to try to stay again on future Monterey trips! less

Perfect place for our family of 5

This place was great for our stay! We are a family of 5, all grown adults. We took advantage of the fireplace inside, the balconies, and the fire pit outside. The location is very close to town - about a 5 to 6 minute drive... more to the Wharf and Cannery Row. The kitchen was very well stocked and we cooked 2 of the 4 nights we were there. The ONLY thing we didn't care for was the sloping driveway (there is a garage you can park in but we were driving a huge suburban) and the bathroom counters were small so I couldn't spread my makeup/overnight bag out on the counter. A perfect place

This Hilltop Haven was indeed perfect. It was beautifully appointed with a great floor plan. We were close to Monterey, 17 mile drive & grocery stores. Loved the garage, very comfortable beds, barbeque worked well with an extra propane tank and the neighborhood was quiet.... more The kitchen had every thing we needed to cook all our meals. Each room had a flat screen TV. There was a bulletin board with area maps which helped us select our outings. We used the backyard but could not get the log to ignite. less

My family and I stayed here during a family wedding weekend for my cousin. We were six adults and a baby and it was a perfect amount of space and definitely enough room! Very comfortable

The Hilltop Haven is very comfortable and was what we expected based on the description with one exception. The site says it has a grill and when we were there, there was no grill on the premises. It has a bay view from the balcony... more off the master bedroom. We only used one bedroom, but the bed, pillows and linens in that room were great. The kitchen had every thing I needed We were quite satisfied with it. We did find the key return process inconvenient. The rental office is 15 minutes from the house so we lost a half hour at our departure because we had to go to the office to return the key, and then go right back the way we came. less
