Absolutely Stunning! Our 2nd time!

This is our 2nd time staying here and it won't be our last. The view of the ocean and coastal paths in all its glory from this home is stunning with plenty of places to sit, stand, and lay to soak it all in. The... more home is clean and with just enough kitchen items (though do bring all your own oils, spices, coffee if you plan on cooking), towels, fans, bikes, and portable chairs. We enjoy the open layout of this home that also allows pockets of private areas when you need time alone. The location is ideal for us. IT allows scenic walking to the Aquarium/Cannery row, Downtown Pacific Grove, restaurants/grocery stores, golf course, kayaking, and endless breathtaking coastal paths. You are located on a main coastal street nestled in a tight neighborhood, so there is plenty to watch (in a good way). I highly recommend this home and management property (they are professional and prompt). less

Best House & Awesome Property Management Group

We really enjoyed this house and it's location! It is very well maintained and has the most spectacular view. It has everything one needs to cook and make meals, comfortable clean bedrooms and even bikes in the garage you can use. Michelle the property manager... more is incredibly responsive and super helpful. The storm of the century happened the day before we were supposed to arrive - the house didn't have power and she worked with us on an alternative plan. The 24 hour maintenance line was answered on the first ring by an awesome gentleman who guided us through an internet issue! You should visit this house - it's really worth it! less

Perfect

Perfect!

We visit Pacific Grove often but never stayed at this location. It was perfection for what we wanted. The home was very clean and very accurate to the listing and details. While this home comes with minimal 'stuff' that you might be used to from... more other rentals in this price range (such as extra blankets, or various kitchen utensils (we cooked) etc....) it was really, just enough, and i'm confident if we needed anything (which we didn't), Monterey rentals would have helped us. We were all So very pleased, I highly recommend this place. The check in & check out was seamless. WE even used the charming fill-the-tires bikes in the garage (which come with helmets and locks) to enjoy the trails. You can't beat the location for walks along the Ocean trails, the view, people watching, walking distance to a golf course, grocery store and food. Loved it! less

Room with a View

Six of us spent three nights at this home (our second time). There isn't a better view and the location is perfect for a walk along Monterey Bay. It's so close to so much to see and do. The house has everything you would need... more and is very nicely furnished - a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Some elements are a bit dated and could use some updating but other than that, I can only say that we'll be back! less

Whale of a Time

Blue Horizon is a great house. I was worried about no air conditioning but it was totally fine. No need at all. The house is super great for 3 small families. The views as noted are aaaamazing. The telescope is an amazing touch. We saw... more many a whales breaching! Location is great for exploring the area. 2 miles from the 17 mile drive and 1.5 miles from the aquarium. I wish I could have stayed longer. The house was very peaceful. Definitely a feeling of zen there. If I had to suggest one thing it would be black out curtains in the master. Whale watching every morning from the living room! Across the street from the coastal walking trail. We were able to spend a full day in each town - Monterey, Big Sir, Salinas, and Pacific Grove, with travel time less than an hour. Great family vacation.... more We will definitely be back! less

Oceanfront Getaway

STUNNING VIEWS! We watched whales splash and jump from the living room through the telescope perfectly placed in front of the bay window. Gorgeous Home , Awesome view

This house was perfect for 3 active couples. We walked, rode our bikes and kayaked over the 3 days we stayed at the house. In between activites we would just stare out the window and enjoy the view. We will be back.

Fantastic house!

This house was fantastic! We loved the views, being able to walk along the shore just outside, and the space. The kitchen has everything we needed and all the beds were comfortable. No complaints.

Blue horizons

Loved the upstairs - great living room, master bedroom bathroom suite, kitchen, dining room and fabulous view of the ocean. The downstairs needs overhauling - the beds were uncomfortable and the rooms too small and house doesn’t work for 2 couples and children. Very disappointed.

Blue Horizons was everything we could've wanted in a vacation rental. We especially appreciated the owners' notes everywhere explaining how to use things and which remotes went to which devices. They took all the stressful guesswork out of staying in a home rental.

Blue Horizons August 2020

The house and the view were both beautiful. There was lots of helpful information posted around the house. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. We even saw a whale while eating dinner on our second night. Nobody had any complaints at all.

Amazing!

Blue Horizons is amazing. Went for a birthday weekend and spent many hours dreamily watching the Pacific from the living room windows with my best friends. The house is in a wonderful location in Pacific Grove and we could easily walk to Lovers Point or... more down to Asilomar. We will definitely come here again! (Only glitch was there was no propane in the tank so we could not use the barbecue, so we used the broiler instead.) less

Wonderful stay

What a lovely place. The view was spectacular and the house a joy to stay in. I had not thought of the advantage of staying on the ocean and yet facing north. There was no blinding glare in the afternoons and we had fantastic sunrises... more as well as constant beauty to look at. Everything was great....as described on vrbo. Loved everything about the house and neighborhood. Only issue was the envelope with the key wasn't in the mailbox outside your office.....it was in the office, but no notification of that. Amazing

Amazing views, lovely accommodation ideal for us travelling as 2 couples. The communication was first class and easy to follow instructions were received ahead of our arrival. We really enjoyed watching the otters from the window and stargazing at night! Perfect!!

Beautiful view!

The view from upstairs is beautiful! The location is great! The house is very roomy and was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking and even had things like soap, foil, spices and a few staples available. The bath was well... more supplied also. A few things that could be improved - need darker curtains or blinds that open in master suite. Lots of car headlights shining into the bedroom. Also, the ice maker in fridge and jets in bathtub don't work, if that's important to you. Also, the cleaning fee seems excessive. Guests are asked to volunteer, but not required, to empty trash, strip beds, start dishwasher, which we don't mind at all, but not with a $299 cleaning fee. I feel like that fee could be reduced. With all of the taxes and fees, the final price was almost double the advertised price. less

Location, Location, Location!

What a beautiful home! Perfect location for downtown Pacific Grove. Kitchen is fully stocked. Living room has a view that makes you never want to leave. They even have a telescope so you can check out all the activity in the ocean! Great library downstairs.... more Plenty of bathrooms. Huge garage. It was amazing for our girls weekend. The only slight downside is the kids room is not really designed for having adults in there. But with 4 of us, it was great! less

We loved the huge open upstairs space with unobstructed views of Monterey Bay. Kitchen worked well (needs a good grater!!). The master suite was very large and comfortable. The process to reserve the house went smoothly. Mostly on line, but with some phone calls. Michelle was great in answering questions and helping make the reservation. Check in was easy and they were ready for us when we arrived. Only took a minute or... more two. Directions in the written materials were quite good and thorough. The house itself was great and just as advertised. It was clean upon arrival and well furnished with everything we needed. Since there were only four of us and we ate meals out for the most part, we did not take full advantage of the house. But the beds were great and showers and bathrooms great. Hard to suggest any improvements. One very small suggestion would be directions for the master shower. In order to get warm water, one needs to have the control set in the middle. If you go all the way counterclockwise, it turns cold again. It took us a shower or two to figure this out. But once we did, it worked great. less

Picture Perfect

The location and view could not be more perfect. The large picture window is like looking at a National Geographic tv show. There were otters, seals and dolphin in the area almost all the time with tons of birds to enjoy as well. The spotting... more scope provided on a tripod is a wonderful touch. The house has a wonderful walking trail that leads to a point to watch the sunset in one direction and a nice restaurant and bar in the other. Big Sur and the 17 mile drive are easily reached from this location. While there are a few fixtures that could use updating, the pictures you see are exactly what you get. The furniture is comfortable and the instructions on how to use everything are precise. The kitchen is also well outfitted for cooking at the house and enjoying the view from the dining table. All in all, this place is fantastic. less

Bayside Perfection

Marvelous house with a spectacular location. We had a three generation vacation, and all loved the house. I will be looking to return in two years when we hope to be back in the area, as this house is really That good. We loved watching... more the sea otters from the front window every day, anytime of the day. Pacific Grove is a neat town with lots of charm. Kitchen is well equiped. My only quibble is it is missing a Real grill. Has both a stove top grill and a mini-Weber grill, but in cooking for a group, neither is adequate. Still a 5 star place! less

Incredible!

My wife suggested that we rent a home for our family, and her parents and sister to join us in Carmel for Christmas. After reviewing what was available on-line, I quickly told her that we needed to stay in Monterey and that I have the... more perfect place! She was disappointed at first, but she felt better when she saw the place, and when we were there, she said this is much better than what she was thinking for Carmel and she's so happy that we decided to stay there. Our view on Ocean View Blvd was incredible! Oh My!!! It was the most heavenly view!! Did I mention that we had a great view? Ha! There were seven of us, and it slept seven with 3 great bathrooms, a fantastic kitchen and plenty of room to hang out in a room by yourself too. Check-in and check-out was extremely easy. All instructions were simple. Although we didn't get the fireplace to work, we got over it quickly enough and we were completely amazed how friendly and helpful the young lady was when we called the help number to discuss the problem on Christmas Eve. Each morning involved a walk on the coast. The afternoons were in Pacific Grove, Monterey, and even Carmel. My father-in-law and I even got to play golf at the Pacific Grove Golf Course. Thanks for the great stay and I hope to see you again. less
